The Hands Behind the Wool Paintings

For Linda and Nick Franco, Mollyru Fiber Art is a shared passion that brings together two creative backgrounds, two distinct artistic styles, and a whole lot of love.

Linda enjoyed a long career in creative direction and project management in the catalog, party, and costume industries. Her artistic journey began with portrait and fabric collage quilting, but about five years ago, she discovered needle felting and fell in love with painting with wool. Today, she devotes her artistic talents exclusively to this fascinating medium, creating colorful, imaginative works of art.

Nick attended art school but spent much of his career in advertising and marketing, leaving his love of fine art behind. That changed when Linda discovered felting.

As Nick explains with a smile:

"Linda was spending so much time in the studio that I missed her company. I figured the only way to get some quality time together was to jump in and give it a try!"

What began as a way to spend time together rekindled Nick's artistic passion. Today, Linda's colorful creations and Nick's expressive black-and-white portraits and whimsical characters make Mollyru a delightful blend of creativity, personality, and humor.
